Zoo Visit

Luke and Mike visited the Zoo the other day. They had a great time visiting all the animals and they got to see Aunt Jenny (Mike's sister), who is finishing up an internship with the Zoo.
Luke loves feeding the goats.

Turtle, Turtle.

Aunt Jenny has been interning at the Wings Of the World exhibit, feeding and taking care of the Penguins and other exotic birds at the Zoo. Jenny met Luke and Mike during her break and offered to take them on a special tour.

The highlight was visiting with the penguins. The King Penguins were almost as tall as Luke.

They got to see inside the penguin exhibit. It almost looks like they were on location in the wild.

Luke had the special opportunity to pet some of the Australian penguins. He absolutely loved it. They were so soft, and extremely cute.

This one was a baby and still had some of it's baby fluff on it's head and back. It was so cool to get a behind the scenes tour of all the birds. Thanks Aunt Jenny!

Luke had to see the elephants before leaving. What a fun visit.

The Boys and their really big toy

We attended a Cincinnati Arts Wave (formerly Fine Arts Fund) event at GE on Saturday. We were supposed to see a Cincinnati Children's Theatre presentation of Peter Rabbit, but "Peter" was called out of town on a family emergency. We didn't get to see the play (Luke keeps asking when Peter Rabbit is going to be better), but we still got to have a snack and get a purple balloon sword. Mike's favorite part was this photo of him and the boys in front of the inlet of a GE90 engine. For those interested, Mike says the engine has a diameter of approximately 11 feet and at full power it could suck all the air out of the Houston Astrodome in like 10 seconds. Way cool. Megan was not in the photo because she was waiting in line to get above mentioned purple balloon sword. The sacrifices a mother makes...

March - We made it!

We're finally posting pictures taken within the last two weeks.
Bathtime, and another view of Evan's bottom teeth.

Fat Tuesday. Mike brought home party favors from his GE Mardi Gras breakfast. The boys were less than thrilled that Mike made them pose for a photo, but Luke insisted that we all wear a necklace the rest of the evening.

6-Month Photo Shoot (February)

If you look closely, you can see my two new bottom teeth.

Evan has been teething like crazy over the past month. He has two bottom teeth and we think the top two will be in very soon. Poor baby.

February for fun

Evan's first solid food experience.

"Not so sure about rice cereal Mom".

Evan is starting to play, and of course he wants whatever Luke has.

"What?"

Looking cool.

There's really only one way to carry both the laundry and Evan up the stairs.

5-Month Photo Shoot (January)

Snowman (January)

This was the only opportunity to build a snowman this winter. Luke loved it.

Luke decided it should be a Blue snowman.
